for the holiday gift packs, ceft and company designed an open-face packaging line for revlon’s charlie, addressing the need to display the pack content when units were displayed at the retail stores. the metallic outer carton was hit with a herringbone pattern and custom die-cut of the stars.

based on conducted research and the agencies marketing suggestions, layering recommendation were placed on the inside lid of each gift pack. after consulting with perfumers, users were encouraged to mix certain scents with others to create their customized top and base notes. this was done to promote customization and help boost return customers, and multi-purchase behaviors by offering purpose and benefit.
the flush color interior and lid displays the custom created layering message:
“did you know that you can layer the charlie body fragrance to create a more personal scent? read the back of your body fragrance to find out our perfumer’s recommendation, or experiment to create your own layered scent.”

collectively the series created a mnemonic pattern on the shelves during the holiday season. mixing bright legacy colors from the brand with powerful / more-modern silver/black, we insured that there was a charlie gift pack for every type of girl. our favorite of course remains the black-on-black and the classic red. view all work for revlon.
