it is not often that a product commercial can find its way into general entertainment, but this one managed to do just that. the workkit commercial by ceft and company for white house black market utilized model coco rocha’s amazing talent in dance, making the spot a favorite showcase for coco. previously coco had worked with such brands as marc jacobs, lanvin, yves saint laurent, zac posen, stella mccartney and anna sui, securing her place as a multifaceted model. her work with whbm stood out, and her agent secured permission from the agency and the client to include the commercial as part of coco’s introduction in her show “the face” on oxygen. this was completely unsolicited, making it a genuine praise. subsequently, clips from the commercial were included in the intro section of the show, featuring super model naomi campbell, karolina kurkova and of course the lovely coco rocha. filmed by renowned director johan renck, the spot was created by ceft and company new york under the creative direction of ucef hanjani. you can view the original spot “a musical odyssey” and its two following counterparts “alter ego” and “the heart of workwear” by clicking on the links. view all work related to this project.
